Kinja'd!!!

I just finished up with painting the main body of the firebird and holy shit did it turn out way better than expected!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

There are a few dust particiles and one tiny run in it but I am confident that those will buff out.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Tommorow I will start assembling my freshly powdercoated subframe and contro l arms which I'm really looking forward to.

Ouch! It's called schiffer gray Might not look like much now but along with black trim pieces and a couple of stripes I think it will do really well

That is absolutely gorgeous. Deep, medium grey. Looks like Audi's Nardo Grey

Yup, I guess it’s kinda close to that. Not to everyone's taste, I understand that. But once it's all together I think it will look really killer.

There’s a guy in a nearby office who drives an RS7 that’s painted in this kind of colour. Should be a beaut once you’re finished, hope you enjoy the rest of your build.

This is most excellent! I am excited for the day when I am able to repaint my Firebird too.

Thanks! It’s been a bunch of work to get to this point but niw it’s just downhill from here on out (not really).

Pro tip! Start thinking about which paint you want now. Even if it’s a few years out chances are that you might see a car IRL in a similar color to what you’re thinking and can then decide if you like it or not.

just monkeying with you, its a nice looking color...... it just looks a lot like wet primer. but with some stripes and trim, it should look pretty sharp......

Hi!, yes car was finished about a month ago. I plan on doing a larger post about it on here sometime in the future. But I can give you a few pictures of how it all turned out.

(still will be lowered in the back a bit more)

The rear window conversion turned out surprisingly great. The only thing to note that a real 70-73 f body will have much sharper corners for the window molding. But I managed to “ massage” mine to fit by folding in the sharp corner a bit.

I’ll check out your build on insta, also let me know if you need pictures of anything specific .
